So, you all know I love dreaming and I love dreams and I REALLY love to hear the stories of dreamers out there who had a dream and went for it.
Priscilla Ahn did just that. She is a singer-songwriter and took her little 18 year old self out to L.A. and went for it. Here’s a snippet of her story. I love her song, Dream (see below). Maybe you’ve heard it in the movies, Bride Wars or Love Happens.
Today is A Good Day (title of her new CD).
What fire am I talking about? You know… that fire in your head that is blazing a trail toward something that isn’t even real!
A few days ago, Mark and I were having one of those ‘candid’ conversations that I share with you that we have. You know, the truthful ones, where we say exactly how we feel?
It went something like this…
Mark: I feel like when you ask me to do something you set my achiever side of me on fire.
Me: That’s not my intention. I’m just asking you for something.
Mark: Yes, but your energy is so fiery and then I feel like I have to run around and get it done fast.
Me: Really? That’s not my intention, I wonder why that’s happening?
Mark: Well, I feel like you are setting fires all over the place and I have to run around with my hose and put them out!
Me: Hmmm, that’s interesting since there’s no fire to begin with. What would you be putting out?
At that point, we just totally cracked up at how absurd the whole thing was. Then I said, “Your fireman needs to put his hose up! There’s no fire here to tend to!”
My show last week was about this very thing. And about how you can create your own reality from your own creative power. I received several emails about that show… wow, who knew? Of course, you all know me… I just show up and flow.
What imaginary fires are making you run around like your hair is on fire?

Well, Dusty Rose (a.k.a. Mom) sent me yet another amazing creative spirit to take a gander at (gee, I even start talking like Mom when I connect to her!).
God speaks to each of us. The gifts that await are delicious. Are you listening?

In the flap of Susan Boyle’s new CD, she dedicates her new CD, I Dreamed a Dream, to her mother. She writes, “to my beloved Mother, to whom I made a promise to be someone.”
I completely ‘get’ what that means…perhaps not what Susan ‘meant’ as I can never know her heart, but I do see so many people…and many times myself…thinking that they must ‘be’ something or accomplish something to be ‘someone.’
The truth is you are already someone. You are a sister to a sibling, a mother to a child, a teacher to a student, a student to a teacher, an example, a dreamer, a person of faith, a child of God. You are already all of these things and so much more. Every day, in every way you touch people all around you. You choose each day what being someone means to you.
Don’t wait for ‘someday’ to be ‘someone’… be you right now!
I’ll join you!

A year or so ago, my friend Doreen Fisher introduced me to the most HEAVENLY tea. It is so yummy!!! This tea rocks! Actually, we laughed joking that it is like taking a hot bath with yummy scents and that if you drink this right before bed you can literally pour yourself into a good night’s sleep. Great for relaxing or chilling with a book. Whole Foods carries this for about nine bucks, and you can get it at Kroger for a little over six. Enjoy!

A few weeks ago, I taught a workshop where a wonderful woman shared her story about how she ‘decided’ to move across the country to a city where she knows no one, has no contacts and builds a business from scratch.
I listened in awe and just a wee bit of a jolt in my tummy at the thought of actually doing it myself.
Then, a few weeks later, Debbie sent me an email about our mutual friend, Maria Smith, who had taken a similar journey…transplanting from Dallas to Boise.
If you are dreaming of making the move, this is THE article to read for a systematic way to determine your very best ‘new home’…enjoy!

Have to plug Annette’s Touch of Class site. If you haven’t heard of the mother-daughter team that is adorning celebs, then take your tootsie right on over there and take a gander at what those two have been up to.
LOVE their lines… Di-VINE!
Search by Virgins Saints and Angels on their site to find all the baubles. If you live in the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex, then you can find them at Canton, too.
Is it time for an after Valentine gift for yourself?
