Wow, what can we say about the FIRST Hearts of Fire retreat? Absolutely amazing is what I can report…how amazing is it to come together with other strong, spiritual women who are ready to claim their power? Fears drifted away, clarity poured in, and empowerment blossomed. By all reports, the weekend rocked and the women – every one – rocked it! When I first sent out the retreat email back in October, I called it Hearts ON Fire, but by the end of the weekend, everyone and I mean EVERYONE was calling it Hearts of Fire, and I can see why. Every person seemed to be blazing with the Sacred Feminine and were lit from within.

When I first thought about creating this event, I literally woke up with the inspiration and sent out the email. I didn’t even know if I would do another event like this again – EVER! After this weekend, I feel even more strongly about doing another one! Working with women in this way feels like love personified.

I am tentatively looking at October 2010 for the next retreat. I’ll post information on the site shortly for those of you who want to reserve your spot. Because I work with the Divine to create the curriculum, the retreat will be tailored to the group that comes together in October.

For now… take a look at these photos from last weekend. This group named themselves the FTB Hearts of Fire Group. What does FTB stand for? F**k the Box…and in the most hilarious way, this became a mantra for unleashing the creative power within. Talk of bra burning, bras hanging (by car antennas no less) fueled laughter that echoed in the woods as we sat at the fire, eating s’mores and howling at the moon – yes, literally. I have not laughed that much in a very, VERY long time. To all of you who attended…wow…thank you!

Trust me…by the end of the weekend, each person’s box was GONE…banished to the land of limitation. And, in its place was a huge helping of self love, authentic power and passion.

Last year, when I went to BEA – Book Expo America – I met Kris Steinnes, author of Women of Wisdom: Empowering the Dreams and Spirit of Women. What struck me about Kris is that she is strong. Her presence, her beingness ooze strength of character.

THEN, I saw her book, which is a rich collection of women’s stories. This book truly celebrates the souls of women, and invites us to dance with other women. Thought leaders such as Jean Houston share a lifetime of distilled wisdom.
