My birthday is this Friday, but the birthday celebrations have already commenced! Mom, a.k.a. Dusty Rose, gave me my first present (she says she has another one that she really is going to wrap) when I met up with her at the Cowgirl Paper Ball a few weeks ago (yes, I’m just like you, it has taken me two weeks to take the photo and actually get it up on the blog – no one is living in illusion here!) – see below.
She handed me this: And, said, “Hey, how do you like my gift wrap?”
I could feel wild anticipation that she wanted me to open it RIGHT AWAY! I giggled at her joke and then opened it. And, Voila!
Oh, yes, there are not many artsy things I love more than a good, sharp X-acto knife and a curing mat (these are the mats that you can cut over and over again and they always look ‘new’). When I went to her house a month or so ago, she had a set kind of like this one and I nearly slobbered over it I wanted one so much. Her’s had six or seven different knives and tips. THIS one has 56 pieces! Oh, and it has magnets to keep everything in place! Plus a sharpening stone! What???
LOVING it. Though not sure what I’ll do with all of them. LOL I use my X-acto like most people use scissors. I have had one ever since my days in journalism in Junior High when we produced the entire school newspaper old school style on an old printing press. Yes, really, with the old indigo plates and everything! It wasn’t that long ago, but I bet kids these days probably do everything fancy and digital.
Hey, wait a minute, I just thought of something. Maybe this is why I love the paste up craft of collage art and also crafting cards old-school-style. Hmmm, I don’t know, but I do know I LOVE these and thank you mom for a beautiful present, gift wrapping and all!
Looking for a Dream Life:
The Easter Bunny came in many forms this year. My friend Sundae sent us at least 10,000 calories of chocolate, choco bunny grahams, Reeses in bunny shapes and eggs, and lots of pure-form sugar in the form of sour patch bunnies, M&Ms (peanut) and Jelly Bellies.
About a day later, the FedEx guy drops off a gourmet cookie bouquet from a company wooing our old company. I spent about two minutes thinking about the importance of research then let it go while I ate one of the cookies.
Just a week ago, I was sugar-free.
Before that, the generosity began with a front-step drop off of another gift – my friend Debbie gave me the VEGAN cookbook I’ve been wanting to read (I’m number 3 on the library list after four months – yes, I’m THAT frugal) plus a book that reminds me of something I wrote a year ago. Something that was really important – A YEAR AGO.
I give a lot… and I get a lot. Sometimes a little is all I need, and yet I can’t change Universal Laws to manage my own irresponsibility (think eating too much sugar).
But I can be a good steward of what comes. That’s my goal.

The company that made the cookies is called Cheryl & Co. They were yummy. I’ll keep the company that sent them in mind for other things. That feels right!
A few weeks ago I spoke at the Holistic Networking Group in McKinney, Texas. Right before I began, PJ Spur came up to ask if she could record the presentation. She promised to send me a copy of the recording, and off we went…she to a table and me to present.
Imagine my delight when just a few days ago I opened the mail to receive not only a beautifully designed CD label, complete with the date and location, but also a sweet note of gratitude.
I felt amazing and thankful, too. Thank you PJ!
A week or so ago, as I waited for my next appointment to arrive at my ‘office’ away from the office… Paradise Bakery, I threw away the cup from my previous appointment and went to get a napkin to wipe down the table.
The area managers from Paradise Bakery were holding a meeting at a nearby table, and noticed that I was ‘cleaning.’ One jumped up and offered to wipe down the table top for me. I blushed, embarrassed by how long I had actually been seated there (three+ hours), yet accepted his offer, and before I knew it, everything was clean and I was saying hi to my next appointment.
I have been a fan of Paradise Bakery long before that kind gesture, but ever since then I am an even bigger fan. I appreciate this company and all it stands for – fresh food, considerate service and a great dining experience.
Thank you!

Hi Everyone… just a quick post to THANK YOU for making the Queen of Dreams special the MOST special ever. If you recall, back in September of 2008, I was given guidance to offer 77 one-hour sessions for just $77 each. We’ve just finished that special, and wow, what a RIDE!
Little did I know how MUCH I would grow through that experience. In nearly every one of the sessions, Jesus and Mother Mary were here, and it was quite the fun time with many people activating aspects, going to a higher level of consciousness, and expanding into all that they are.
I’m DEEPLY GRATEFUL for all of you sharing your souls with me, and for also being my teachers as well. I feel that I have been given a wonderful gift in my own expansion, and I know to the core of my being we are here TOGETHER for each other!
Plus, I continue to hear from SO MANY of you about the shifts taking place in your life, and how you feel lighter, happier, and more able to create all that you are dreaming of. That really is why I do this – I LOVE to celebrate YOU!
Even though the special is over, there’s still a way that you can tap into a ‘deal’… and that is to share me with someone you know that may benefit from the work we do. Your friend will get an amazing gift from spirit, and YOU will get a 50% off coupon as our thank you for your referral. If you want to split the discount with your friend, that is totally fine (plus generous) with us – just let Brandie know when you set up your appointment.
My loving husband is putting together an affiliate program, too…more details to follow. For all of you who came to help me spread my wings – I’m ever so grateful! Let’s fly high together!
Hugs and love to you!
