By now, you all know I totally LOVE Priscilla Ahn…and her DREAM song and SO MANY others from her CD, A Good Day (GO RIGHT NOW AND BUY IT!!)

I posted a day or so ago about one of her songs that started speaking to me right out of the blue! I wanted to give credit where credit was due and found out that she got married back in June, and I adored the story, so I wanted you to read it too. Wow, talk about all things moving with you when you know what you want and you go for it.

Definitely worth a cup of tea and a few minutes to celebrate love, love, love! They were married in Hawaii… this is NOT them…just a little image to get you in the mood for such a sweet, sweet story.

A few months ago, a song on a CD I’ve been listening to virtually non-stop since January, Priscilla Ahn’s, A Good Day, literally sounded super loud (song six – Red Cape). Now, mind you, I’ve listened to the ENTIRE CD HUNDREDS of times, and all of a sudden this song is LOUD!

I noticed it and started listening to the lyrics (see below). I thought, wow, I never really heard these lyrics before! I had some favorite songs that I would sing along to, but this one was not one of those – until now.

As I listened to these lyrics, I thought… wow, this is me! I kept thinking I had to do this or had to do that. Nope, I did the same thing Priscilla is singing about here… just took off that red cape and committed to flying in my invisible airplane compliments of trusting spirit! Wanted to share these lyrics that spoke so resolutely to my heart and allowed me to acknowledge that I have been sweetly released from all that I couldn’t let go.

Yes, I really do live a dream life. You can too. Do you dare to rip off the red cape and fly?

 Red Cape by Priscilla Ahn

I’m alive should have died in a plane crash
Four long years ago
Lost my hope, couldn’t cope
With my fear of news on the radio

But I’ve got a long red cape
That’s caught in the engine of a plane
That’s flying way too low
Yesterday a hurricane had blown away my long red cape
And I, feel satisfied

(vocalizing)

I’m in peace, I feel sweetly released
From all that I couldn’t let go.
If I knew, what to do
The I guess I’d finally feel anew

But I can’t wear my cape
‘Cause I would be repeating a mistake

I just gotta let it go
I just gotta let it go
I just gotta let it, let it go, let it go
I just gotta let it go
(x3)

Yesterday a hurricane
Had blown away my long red cape
And I, I, I
Feel satisfied (-ied, -ied)

(vocalizing)

Yesterday a hurricane had blown away my long red cape,
And I feel satisfied

Miss Debbie added to my Wonder Woman collection. Isn’t it funny that one of Wonder Woman’s primary weapons/tools is a lasso that makes people tell the Truth? Me, too!

Looking for a Dream Life:

So, you all know I love dreaming and I love dreams and I REALLY love to hear the stories of dreamers out there who had a dream and went for it.

Priscilla Ahn did just that. She is a singer-songwriter and took her little 18 year old self out to L.A. and went for it. Here’s a snippet of her story. I love her song, Dream (see below). Maybe you’ve heard it in the movies, Bride Wars or Love Happens.

Today is A Good Day (title of her new CD). :)
