After my guitar lesson, I came home and Mark asked me how it went. I showed him what I learned… drum roll pleeeeaaaassseee… D chord!
Oh, and my ‘drills’… I picked along for about five minutes before his connected mind started talking about cowbells.
Amidst visions of Elsie the Cow, he starts telling me about Saturday Night Live and Will Ferrell (who ALSO shares a birthday with me), and Christopher Walken.
Honestly, I started tuning out a bit (out in guitar ethers)… and then when I came back I was like… oh yes, what was that about cowbell?
He showed me this… and it is HILARIOUS… and now I get it – why he might have been reminded of cowbell by my pluck pluck pluck-ing away!

Yesterday was my first lesson. I SO ENJOYED it! I was so present…so attentive, so ALIVE!
What a happy birthday present to me!

I’m so happy…in my heart.
What’s your heart asking you to do?
