LOVING this so much!! I have truly enjoyed so many art-full, blissed-out blogs in the last couple of years. I’m thrilled to be part of such a spirited group of artists. Thanks for including me!

Where Bloggers Create II

I’m blessed to have a huge office and lots of creative space. This is what you see when you walk into my office. That desk was one of my manifestations that came from my friend Debbie (who had no idea I had it on my vision board!)

My Creative Corner

Here’s the more creative side of my office. I love to write handwritten, decorated notes to friends and clients and at my table on the right. I sometimes sit there to work on my laptop if I’m looking for new inspiration.

Where I Read and Pray

I sit here to have a different viewpoint, to think about things, to read magazines (fave – Where Women Create) and wonderful books like Violette’s Journal Bliss (current FAVE). I love this chair because my husband can sit in it and I can sit completely (and comfortably) on one of the arms, and read or talk with him.

Where I Write

This is where I do most of my blogging, writing and creating. I have my little laptop here on my desk, but often I blog upstairs in the den so I can be with my family and also jot down an inspired thought or two.

Where Bloggers Create 9463

I love words and quotes… I surround myself with things that make me smile. I love Compendium (the little quote window cards) and photos of people (two and four-legged) that are special to me. I have tons of angels in my office and whimsical inspirations like Tinkerbell and Elle Woods Barbie.

Photos and Magnets and Quotes

Most of the time Rico is actually in my office with me (the big boy on the left), but my dog who passed many years ago remains with me in my heart – he’s everywhere in my office. His name is Gar.

Compendium Cards, Gandhi

Many of these were gifts…I’m so grateful to feel so much love.

Inspiration Corner

When I look out from my desk when I’m thinking or something, I have many things to inspire me. I know it’s almost time for 4th of July, but I can’t put the bunny up yet! This is my altar corner…where I put things that remind me we are all connected and loved.

Maya Angelou, Power of Love

I love color and don’t seem to notice purple next to red, white and blue or even green. LOL I hung a little hanging sign that says “Believe” on the back of this credenza – I nailed it on there, so it isn’t going anywhere.

Rose and Flying Heart

Mark (my husband), painted this office this yummy berry-licious pink (my signature color) for me two and a half years ago. I STILL am in LOVE with it! I feel so happy in here. Before, it was moss green (yes, really). I love sparkly things and roses (my backyard is FULL of them in all colors). This print was a gift from my friend Debbie…she knows how much I love roses.

Go in the Garden

One of my favorite pieces of art…it reminds me to spend time in the garden, which I love to do.

Wall of Creativity

Words given to Debbie and then returned to me with love notes on them. I stare at these every day. They make me smile.

Super Cute Easter Bunny

This bunny is too cute not to share. :)

My Fender Guitar and Garden Butterfly

I love creativity of all kinds. I started playing guitar again recently after 34 years! I bought this butterfly at Ross – had to have it for some reason. I love what it looks like here. :)

Vintage cards with love notes

Send some beautiful words to someone today… aren’t these delicious?!

Dan DiPaolo Dream Big, Willow Angel, Everyting is Possible

This is at my desk…I have crown stickers on the inside of my lampshade. These little items are gifts from friends. I usually have a candle burning in my office – that’s the mosaic holder to the right. And, of COURSE, I have a million different colored markers, pens, pencils and crafty items.

Sally Jean Pendant, Louise Hay Card, Bee Photo Holder

I took a workshop with Sally Jean when she was here in Dallas a little over a month ago (wow, how time flies!). I loved this little pendant with the Winning Lottery Ticket Fairyette on it. I got this fortune the next day. How fun!

Purse Hanger

I try to be organized. Mark put this hanger on the other side of my armoire so I could hang all of my ‘bags’ – computer, recycling, purses, etc. Two snuck over to the other chair…oh well.

Tracy Porter Cup and Tree Colored Pencils, Dream Bigger

What I see when I look to the left of my computer when I’m writing – Chance and Rico, Steph (my friend from Nevada) and me, Tracy Porter cup with yummy tree bark colored pencils from Miss Debbie, True Friends bookmark from Miss Debbie, and Mr. Gar. I miss him so much.

Elle Woods Barbie, Angels, Love Notes

Love notes from friends and clients…angels…Legally Blonde Barbie (I really do LOVE Barbie)…Chance at 4…so sweet.

Queen Doll and Prayer Box

My prayer box, queenie things…another picture of Mr. Gar and gifts from loved ones.

Organizer and Creative Supplies

I keep this notebook with all of my ‘to dos’ right on my desk with little pencils and stickers. I have tons of colored notecards – I like to write intentions every day. Some days I do it; some days I don’t. :) I use notecards for everything – to do lists, wish lists, ideas for books, ideas for creations, people to call back… I have tons of them in many different colors. I LOVE paper!

Kelly Rae Roberts and Dan DiPaolo

For some reason, I don’t like to look at the calendar on my computer. I always have a calendar to my right so I can glance over at it. Kelly Rae Robert’s artwork has found its way to me…people tell me it makes them think of me. I have been given many of her creations! I am a huge fan of Dan DiPaolo and Blanche Lively…my mom gives me an Extraordinary Women calendar every year. Who couldn’t love a couple who love each other in such an extraordinary way as Dan and Blanche? If you haven’t read their little story in the back of their calendars – do so!

My creative space where I write and create vision journals

My creative space, including Vision Board! See the flying pig hat? A gift from The Fabulous Tax Babe. My mom made the sign above my whiteboard…I love to move around and create from different viewpoints. Is everyone like that?

Pottery Barn Journals - Yummy!

Always writing…I have tons of journals. Write, write, write!

Angel from Mr. Tina Ferguson

Mark made this for me one Christmas…I love to look up all the time for some reason. I never noticed that until I started thinking about these photos today!

Angels and Hold Onto Your Dreams

This is an antique mailbox I used to use as a prayer box. I wish you could see it better on here. I love these black and cream signs.

When Pigs Fly Hat and Easter Eggs

Easter has stuck around for me this year. This pig’s wings actually flap when you have this hat on your head. It’s a great way not to take yourself too seriously!

A Kind Word Is LIke Honey to the Soul

Crowns and mom’s art… perfect to stare at when I’m wondering! My scribbles for thoughts… :)

My creative space and place to read

What I see when I look to the left from my desk. I love my space. I bought the old farm table on the left at an antique sale many years ago when I first was divorced from my ex-husband. It was one of the first things I bought for myself that was expensive. I felt so good splurging on something I loved.

Compendium's Moxie Quote Book - Awesome!Quote Books, Sketch Books, Life is Good

Bob's Your Uncle Calendar Platos Republic, Henry Van Dyke

I have tons of quote books, old books and other journals of inspiration. I am ADDICTED to paper!!! Please don’t tell me that regular books and magazines will ever go out of print. I LOVE lovely printed items. :)

Chance, Mr. Sunshine - love you!

One of my favorite people to see in my office each day… Chance, our son. This is last year before his hair got to be almost as long as mine!

Rico, English Mastiff

Another guy who spends lots of time in my creative space. He’s good company and doesn’t bark very often. He does snore when he goes into a deep sleep. LOL

My hubby made this all possible. Thanks honey! I’m very lucky to be so loved. All of my ‘supplies’ are tucked neatly in my desk and in my outside workshop… I’ll post those pics in a minute!

Looking for a Dream Life:

I have so many photos, I had to cut these in half! So, I’m going to put these in BEFORE the last post, so if it looks odd. That’s why. Since I’m lucky enough to work from home, I create in many places. I have a workshop in the garage where I paint in the mornings and sometimes at night.

Glass and Mirror Entertainment Center

I wanted the energy of glass around me so I got this entertainment center (on the right) on Craig’s List for just $75. Mark cringed and started calling me Tubbs (as in Miami Vice – Crockett and Tubbs). He wouldn’t load it into the Tahoe until I PROMISED him it would NEVER come into the house. Is that not hysterical??? It was made in France and I love it because I can put all of my crafty supplies in it and then shut the doors!

I have a big dining room table I use for art projects, and it’s nice to be able to watch Chance and Rico (sometimes Mark) from here when I’m painting or whipping up some project. That string hanging down is what I clip projects to so they can dry.

Owl Painting, Old Craft Table

I love that I can just leave my things out to dry. This is my latest creation… a canvas with 12 owls on it. Can you see the Uncle Sam and Miss Liberty in the back? My mom made those YEARS ago. That’s what I see when I am standing at my kitchen window. I quit putting them out front for others to see and put them in the back so I could see them. I have a wreath in the front for everyone else. :)

Painter's Easel, Tiki Bar, Family Playing

I leave my easel up and paint whatever comes to me. That’s Chance’s tiki bar that his grandpa built for him to the right. Mark, Chance and Ashley (our niece) are playing basketball as I take photos. :)

Found Objects, Doll Head, Lock, Old Box

Flea market finds from a couple of weeks ago – trip to Canton with Mark and mom.

Vintage Maps and Recipe Book

I got all of this, including the things above and a bunch of bottles for $2.50! Amazingly sweet deals!

Packed Up Books

I boxed up all of my books recently…I just had to have my art supplies INSIDE and all the INFORMATION had to be filed. These show my interests… I love autobiographies, psychology, spirituality, writing and inspiration. All of my art books are inside now. I’m in an extremely creative time in my life – more than ever.

I like to put things away so I can find them easily. I haven’t always been this organized. I often wonder how people with a Zillion stamps stay organized… I see great examples in WWC…my left drawer of my desk is FULL of stamps and stamp pads. I am wondering how I will keep things from going out of control! :)

Creative Workshop Space

Last fall, I felt I HAD to have a creative space where I could just leave everything out. This is the result. I enjoy being here and I just got a record player-iPod player so I can play cool music (I have a CD player now, but it only plays one CD and it’s on top of the entertainment center so it’s hard to reach, well, you get the drift!)

Here’s my THIRD creative space…I love to meditate in the garden. These are pics before I cleaned for the season…

Backyard Haven and Zen Den

Backyard nirvana… my secret garden. Sometimes I take naps out here in the summer. We face east/west so in the early afternoon, it’s quite nice out here even in Texas. :) I love wind chimes…tons of them everywhere!

Clementine Garden Angel in Backyard

My garden angel, Clementine, another one of mom’s creations… see the roses behind her? There’s about 12 other bushes that run along the fence by our pool…they bloom the entire spring, summer and fall. How inspiring! :)

Meditation Garden

I have angels everywhere…love the vintage candle holder. I keep saying I’m going to refinish it, but I love the rusty look. This is before the season and before flowers… but still so peaceful.

Wherever you go, go with all of our heart

This is by my computer… I couldn’t agree more.

I hope you enjoyed touring my creative space. I’m very grateful to have many creative spaces to spend time in! I can’t wait to see everyone else’s creative spaces, too!

Hi everyone!!

I’m posting my pictures here with some commentary. As I was taking pictures, I wanted you to see what I see when I blog or work with clients, and I noticed that most of the time I am looking up.

I stare up at the words on my wall, I stare up at the pictures on the other wall, I look off into the distance at artwork just outside of my office. I seem to always be looking up and holding my head at a 45 degree angle when I am ‘wondering’ or working with a client (usually listening or sharing what I am hearing).

I took photos at every angle so you could see what I see when I look out. I have always had a need to look out and ‘see’ things that touch my heart and soul. Most everything in my space has been given to me, left to me by a loved one or purchased on a special occasion. When I look out, I am surrounded by items of beauty given to me by those I love and who love me, too.

Oh, and I threw in some photos of my garage workshop where I paint and do crafty projects, including inviting people over for Vision Boarding. I wanted to take some pics of our ‘in-home studio,’ but the green screen isn’t up and it isn’t very inviting with just two chairs with a big screen holder behind them! LOL

I hope you enjoy!
