Ah, there’s nothing like spring cleaning to get the creative juices pumping. Each spring, we go over our entire house and do any little repairs, paint touch ups or whatever else needs attention. For me, there’s something extremely satisfying about the whole process. I feel a sense of completion, a sense of fulfillment and also gratitude for the house that offers us shelter.
This year, I feel an intense desire to paint my closet. Why? I have no idea. I want to paint it lavender and to rework the whole interior of it. For years, I’ve had this giant vertical closet. It is a double-decker style where you use a little hanger hook to grab clothes from the second level. I do NOT like this set-up! In addition, you walk in and there’s a book case built into the closet, so you walk by that to get to the other end. I mean, seriously, WHO designed this thing??? The whole closet layout just does not work for me, and I have been dealing with it for as long as I can stand it. No wonder I spend so little time in there! Luckily, I am creative and have some ideas about how to rework this whole closet and to make peace with it.
In addition to house projects, I have a couple of personal pet projects that I am finishing up. The energy of spring brings us youth and rejuvenation. Ride its beautiful wave to address any project that is calling to you.
Lots in the air, I’m glad I don’t have any allergies!
