On New Year’s Eve, we threw a little family-style soiree with close friends. Minette Riordan, my friend who is Little Miss Creativity, brought me the MOST AMAZING gift … a silk scarf!

But not just any ordinary scarf … one with ROSES all over it (you all know how much I *LOVE* and *ADORE* roses!). I fawned over it, I was literally amazed at the COLORS and how WONDER-FULL this scarf FELT.

Then, Marty, Minette’s mom chimed in, “Minette made this.”

What? Stop the presses! What?!!!

I looked at her and Minette smiled and nodded, “Yes, it’s so easy!”

“WHAT? Easy? HOW???” I babble as my mind and mouth try to connect to each other as I try to do five things at once, 1) Figure out HOW she did this, 2) Set a date as fast as possible to do it myself, 3) Find out HOW she did this, 4) Think of what I will design myself, 5) Take in the absolute beauty I’m feeling and seeing!

THEN, Marty showed us the one Minette’s daughter, Maggie, made. SHOWSTOPPER! It was this GORGEOUS creation that looked like one of the impressionists painted it…a full seascape complete with colorful waves, a border made of seaweed and many, many sea creatures that can NOT be done justice here with mere words alone!!!

Yes, yes, I hear you… PICTURES PLEASE!!! Well, I will just have to post in a bit because the camera is having frozenitis issues and I can’t get the lens to turn (did y’all here it snowed her a few days ago and us Texans – and our cameras – are having a little time with this 23 degree weather), and I don’t have a picture of Maggie’s Masterpiece.

The good news????
