Last weekend, Nana (Mark’s mom), Chance and I went to the Friends of Plano book fair. This is an annual event where the library sells off extra books for a buck or so a piece.

On the way, the conversation turned to what ‘we notice’ when we are out driving around. For Nana, she said that she always sees one shoe. Not two shoes, but one shoe… a lone sole roaming around without its mate. I asked her what came to her mind when she thought about what the shoe represented and she said nothing.

To me, it felt like a tug from her heart…but I didn’t pry.

Then I shared that bird nation seems to always get my attention. I literally have birds of all kinds, all shapes, all sizes that swoop down in front of me. I am constantly braking to avoid hitting them. It is kind of funny. When Kathy and I went on our little day trip, she even commented on how often it happens!

These beautiful creatures always give me the feeling of ‘Hi! How’s it going?’ I really love them. I may not fly, but through them, my heart soars.

What’s getting your attention over and over and OVER again? What is it trying to tell you? Ask your heart…
