Yesterday, I got lost in an art project I’m making for a good friend. I found myself looking up four or five hours later (at a time), wondering ‘where’ I had been! Yes, I had coursework to do, but I kept being pulled back into drawing and creating. I’ll post over the weekend a bit about what I was doing! It is wonderful!
While I work or read or do anything, a part of me is noticing what I’m thinking, what I’m observing, and so forth. Yesterday, I kept feeling SO excited about the show coming up that night. I felt fun, laughter, joy and a wonderful sense of connection.
My guest last night was Ellany Cevan. I had spontaneously asked her to be on the show one day while we were out and about (see what we were doing that day below). She said yes, and planned to talk about “it’s never too late to find true love.”
Yesterday, I wondered why I could feel SO much energy moving. But, then when I got to the call, I could SEE why… lots of people tuned in live.
When I got to the call, I could see why so many STAYED tuned in! Ellany was completely real, captivating and down to Earth, telling her story the way she lived it with courage, strength and conviction. If you have not heard it yet, definitely TUNE in because this podcast was all about loving yourself, too.
I found many things popping out at me last night. One was that we each have a hand in encouraging and teaching each other how to love – both ourselves and others. As Ellany talked, what came to my mind was the idea of women looking for love when they already have children. I remembered one of my friends – one of the DEAREST people on the planet – saying, “Who’s going to want me? I have three kids and I’m over 40!” That came up and as I said it, my voice cracked into a thousand little pieces as I connected to the energy that spoke it.
Ellany could relate and she shared how that had felt to her, and how it does seem like if you have kids a guy wouldn’t be interested because that’s what people say, but then she flipped it and helped people see the other side of the equation. And, by the way, my DEAR friend who said that, found a WONDERFUL guy who had kids and they fell madly in love and, well, that limited thought is in the DISTANT past!
As you live your life… are you focused on what is GREAT or what could be thought of as ‘not so great’… if you are looking at the ‘not so great,’ how can you FLIP it? For example, if you have kids and you want to be in a new relationship, just think about how much YOU love your child or children. What’s special about them? What’s AMAZING? Can you imagine how LUCKY someone would be to have that child in their lives? Wow! Wow! WOW!
Children are a wonderful gift! And, I have to share this, too. My DEAR friend who found her Prince Charming introduced us to him last October. As he talked, I could sense the gratitude he had for the man who married his mother who had TWO children when they married! His step-father had been an unbelievable guiding force in his life and treated him like the son he always wanted.
There’s always a different perspective… one that is empowered and alive with the divine part of who you are!

A few weeks ago, Ellany told me she was going to go to see a Mac consultant for a makeover. The last makeover I had was when I was 16 (back when pink and gray were the ‘in’ colors!), and I instantly felt like I wanted to go. So, we went and had so much fun. Ellany wanted a smoky, ‘going out’ look and I wanted the look that I’ve been seeing everywhere… this ‘dewy,’ fresh, lipstick is just so look. So, here we are after our makeovers! I can say this looks a LOT better than when I was 16 (when I vowed I would NEVER do another makeover!) I’ve been talking about trying new things to open up new ways of thinking, and the first thing the woman did was suggest to use PEACH colors. I had horror thoughts of the old Estee Lauder peaches from when I was a teen, and I said, “Oh no, I don’t look good in peaches.” The Mac lady was so nice, and said, “There aren’t any rules any more. Are you willing to try something new?” I was shocked to find I LOVE my new lipstick in a peachy-pink tone! AND, it was a near-perfect match to the colors I had seen on TV on women I thought looked amazing! Who knew?
Friday, I went to Minette’s house for an art playdate. I felt so excited because I knew we were going to do a ‘thank you’ video for Violette because her online class, Journal Bliss, literally gave us 5 months of art-full play! I highly recommend grabbing a friend and getting one of her classes (Violette’s energy gave us a creative confidence boost and inspired us!).
While we created the video, I looked over and saw one of Minette’s Zentangle gift cards. She has made many of these over the last year or so (and they are all GORGEOUS), and last year, even invited me to a Zentangle class where I was introduced to this thoughtful, meditative creative expression.
As I looked at the card, I felt myself drawn to the card itself. I liked the idea of small creations that I could start and finish and know they are ‘done.’
When I came home, I had some other projects to finish for work and I deliberately chose to take a day off from school. I felt pulled to more art, and so I grabbed my watercolors and started painting.
As I painted, I thought of those cards again. I really wanted some. I thought, I wish I had some of those cards. I painted in my watercolor notebook and thought of different things I could paint on those cards. I have always said “I wish” ever since I was a little girl. I wish works as fast and as magically for me as anything. But, last night I was not even thinking of manifesting the cards when I said it, I was simply expressing what I most wanted from my heart.
I finished painting, put up my palette book and paints, and then played a game with Mark and Chance.
As the evening went on, I felt drowsier and drowsier, so I went to bed and quickly drifted off to sleep. The cards were a distant thought and memory.
Today, I woke up and got right back at my school work, but I couldn’t force myself to get going. Instead, I wandered outside and talked to the plants and birds. I fed our mama and daughter mockingbirds as they chirped nearby. I felt the breeze on my skin as I listened to the chimes gonging in the background. I looked at the color of the sun on the surface of the pool water, and noticed the sun trying to poke through the foliage above me. I soaked up the warm rays and felt them pelting against my pale skin.
I thought I might be able to read outside, but I couldn’t. The energies didn’t match up and I felt myself wishing to just relax, to enjoy this abnormal 70s weather in May and to take time out. So I did. I put the books aside and just enjoyed the rhythm of nature complete with the smell of mint nearby.
I walked inside to get some water and met Mark’s mom coming in from the front. She excitedly exclaimed, “Look what I got for you!” And, there, in her hands were two brand new boxes of Strathmore (one of my most FAVORITE papers) greeting cards…100 cards total! I am amazed at how fast things come to me when I wish from the depths of my heart…my dreamer’s desires. She has been saying that she wants to paint and draw, and with all of this schoolwork on the intellectual plane, she has been throwing tantrums! I have been keeping my promise to her to draw, paint and play at least twice a week. Yesterday, Minette and I only had 30 minutes, so I knew more painting was in store for me. And, now, I’ll do more Zentangling, too. Thank you, Nana, for being the messenger.
I wish… Please send… I ask for… whatever way you ask, ask and expect to receive it!

Last night Pamala Oslie and I talked about LifeColors, LoveColors and how life can be more harmonious when we know ourselves and know others and love both unconditionally.
When I saw the press release for LoveColors.com I immediately knew I wanted to help Pam promote the site.
Mark and I met on a dating site, but it was one where I would have never gone had I not had divine guidance to go sign up. Luckily I listened, and Mark didn’t give up (after meeting a lot of people with lots of stuff going on), and we found each other. We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary this past June, and in December, we will celebrate our 11th anniversary of meeting!
What I really love about Pam’s work is that it helps people to understand themselves intimately, and then also to understand others. What could be better than being matched by soul match??? Nothing! 
Mark and I have done nearly every kind of personality matching assessment you can find…StrengthsFinder (we have four of the top five the same), Meyers-Briggs (he’s an INFJ and I am a perfect ENFP fit), Numbers (we are both 11s), Directions (we are both K’an), Astrological (I’m a cancer and he’s a virgo…another match), and though Pam did my colors when she visited as guest host a couple of years ago, this is ONE we haven’t done (not sure why) and I can’t wait to see!
Mark and I know we are a good match…the assessments are fun to use to understand each other better and to give us language to use to better communicate.
Love is one area where I see people truly wanting to find ‘the one’ (we joked last night about… ‘forget the lessons, give me the LOVE!’

I’m on a roll…this is a topic I really want to share! I want you to know that all is well, and that you can count on divine support in all you do!
When I was married to my first husband, he thought I was crazy because I would wake up and write letters to his brother from the angels. I kept telling him that I am just the instrument that his brother can hear since he isn’t listening directly to the angels himself.
What I didn’t know then that I do now is that God will utilize ANYONE and ANYTHING to get your attention and to deliver to you what you are asking for. Isn’t that so amazingly comforting?
Back then, I’m a 25 year old girl with a workaholic tendency and I’m getting up at 3, 4 and 5 to write these letters. I didn’t really care that my husband didn’t believe, but I did want him to feel God’s presence in his life. That is what I asked for.
A couple of days later, my husband was out driving to an appointment in an area that was somewhat desolate when his car broke down. This was before the days when everyone had a cell phone. He had NO money on him at all. He didn’t know what to do. He drifted into a gas station that was closed, and there was not even a car on the road.
He told me that what I kept saying to him came to mind, “God always answers, but are you asking?”
So, he started praying. I have no idea what he asked for, but what he said he “heard” was to go to the pay phone and check the coin return. He said he walked over to the coin return and sure enough there was a quarter in it (remember the good old days?) and he was able to call me to come get him.
One of the things I know about Spirit is that it is fast, well-organized and efficient. Guidance to walk 30 feet to a pay phone is the fastest, easiest way he could have called me that night.
When people first start out trying to discern what is their inner voice and what is their head. The highlight is that Spirit will take you the fastest, easiest route. The head will want to complicate things and do things in the way of the world. Spirit may seem illogical, but you can bet God’s way will be creative and efficient. God is infinite in abundant gifts, information and solutions. What else could we ask for? And, WHY would we EVER want to limit what is available for us by demanding it be done in the way we think it should be done???
Yesterday, I wrote about opening the door, and man did that get my juices stirred up!
In the intuitive sessions I do with clients, I’m amazed at how CREATIVE the messengers are. They say so much of the same things to each person, but they use the person’s life, what matters to that person to say the same thing I hear over and over again – the principles of living in the Truth. I’ve always been in awe of the sheer creativity of being able to say something over and over again in a way that always feel fresh, new and original.
One of the things people ask me the most when I’m out is about when I say, “When you ask, it MUST be given. If you aren’t receiving, that’s not God’s fault! If you are truly asking, it is being given.”
People want to know exactly what do I mean by that. And this is it… God’s promise is that when you ask, it is given. Not sometimes on a good day when the messengers are feeling good. Not every other time when you want something really, really badly, but every time. I believe that with health issues – particularly where children are concerned – this is the hardest to comprehend by the mind. I can’t tell you how many children have gotten sick to bring a family together. Or a pet that has soaked in its master’s toxicity to the point of almost dying. This is how we are all in it together. But, by no means is this a bad thing knowing that God’s grace is always available.
In quantum physics, the universal laws are just as supportive. You send out the call, what you send out comes back to you. It is that simple.
Now, here’s where the jammed up thinking happens. You ask, and then you think you know how it is supposed to play out, you think you know how God is going to handle the delivery, you think you know what the delivery will look like, etc. So, with all of this thinking you go to your door (code for your heart and mind united) and ‘look’ ONLY for what you think is going to be delivered.
This is where everyone gets SO CONFUSED! They treat the divine connection like a to-go service delivery instead of this amazing connection that is full of wonder!
The rub is that your conscious mind is a little pea brain that can only filter a very little bit of what is actually going on around you. God’s power is INFINITE, and the part of you that is God is also INFINITE. This is the part of you to use to connect to God’s gifts! Not, the pea brainer!
Your heart can help alert you to how the gifts are coming, but you must let go of running the show and trying to manage God and the messengers!
Yes, there are some ins and outs on this, and I’m writing my next book as fast as I can to share these with you all. For now, I wanted to shatter some of the myths that people are working under that they can’t rely on God’s grace or that the messengers don’t respond. How NOT true! That is like going up to a computer and not understanding how to run a program and then saying the program doesn’t work. It does, but do you know how to use it?
My experience with these amazing, divine beings is that they are eternally patient, kind and loving. They want nothing more than to serve you and assist you. They are better than any FED EX delivery system as they can orchestrate assistance across thousands of miles in an instant! Can you believe it? How fun!
Here’s a little guidance of what I know:
1. Ask good questions. Ask for what you desire. Keep it simple. Be sure it is what you really want. When I work with clients, I can see where they really believe they are asking for what they want, but they really aren’t. Ask at a very elementary level.
2. Be open to receive it in ANY WAY it shows up. If you want time off and it shows up in the form of a health issue, then take it. This just points to your belief that it is really not a good thing to take time off for yourself. The time off comes in a way that you are willing to accept it. Just because the beginning of the time off looks like a health issue doesn’t mean you have to stay with that storyline. You can let it go and enjoy the ride.
3. Let go of figuring out all of the details. Have fun. Wonder how it is going to happen. Stay alert and on the lookout for your gifts. Most people can see something coming toward them within a week. Yes, you read that correctly – about a week, even for the people who really feel bad about receiving. So, if it has been longer than a week, then you need to ensure that you are really on the lookout.
4. Ensure what you are asking for is true. Many people say, I want to win the lottery. It is so common as most people think money will handle all of their problems. However, what is true for you is what you feel in the core of your heart. What is it you really desire? For many, with this economic downturn, they really wanted to reconnect to their family, to get back to basics, to quit living the rat race. Ka-boom, in comes the economic devastation, ushering in the time to reconnect, but is the gift welcome? No!
5. Relax, you can ask again and again! People act like they get one ticket to ask for something. They get stressed. I better get this right, they think (I’ve done it – I know!). They also don’t want to get it ‘wrong.’ All of this thinking (are we seeing a pattern here? is just slowing you down and zapping your joy. Have fun with this. YOU are the winning ticket and you can ask as many times as you want, all day long, every day, so don’t worry about it. Ask, receive and see what happens. The more you do it, the more you will develop your own connection to God and the Messengers. You can even ask for a better divine connection and relationship with them. That can make the journey even sweeter and more fun!
